Guest renegade722 Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 I've recently been uploading various tweaks onto my phone (SPV C500), including changing the theme / home screen layout to a Jolene Blalock one that I found here (a supreme example of the female form :) ). However it was only yesterday that I noticed that when I go into my calenday, my appointments are now white squares / triangles on a white background, so they are impossible to see unless I highlight that particular day. The problems of preparing for meetings etc becomes apparent. I have tried changing the colour scheme under the settings menu, but that leaves me with another (smaller) problem. If I change the scheme to Bliss or Orange, then in my start menu my selection there is highlighted in white and most of the picture behind is white too! My question therefore is this... Is there any way to edit the colours that the start menu appears as, that things are highlighted with or by or the appointment flags in the calendar? I would appreciate any help, TYIA
Guest simon211175 Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 sounds as though the person who created the homescreen you are using set the colours in there, but didn't go through the rest of the screens to check that things still showed up on the default screens. Your only hope is to edit the xml file to set the colours yourself - but for a beginner I wouldn't recommend this. Your second option would be to see if the author of this homescreen has done any of the other screens, or use another homescreen altogether.
Guest renegade722 Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 Editing the xml file will not be a problem for me if I could ask you for a few guidelines on how to do it and where to find it. I have PHM registry editor and various other bits and bobs installed, but if I need more software then please also advise me on where to find that. I'd really appreciate your help with this because I am such a huge fan of this girl that I don't really want to change her!!
Guest simon211175 Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 You would need to copy the xml file to your PC - all the colours will be listed near the top, and there is a document on here somewhere (sorry I can't remember where) containing a list of what colour represents what on the phone. I'm not sure though if once edited you can just copy the xml file back onto your phone, or if you need to repackage it as a .cab file and install again. :-k
