Guest dannywaddington Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 When writing text messages PPC likes to insert a ` in words such as 'don`t'. This enables unicode limiting me to 70 characters per text. I turned off unicode to enable me to use 160 characters. However, it is still inserting `'s and these show up at question marks on other people's devices. Is it possible to turn this autocorrection off? Thanks in advance, Danny :)
Guest Ian Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 If you got into Settings, Personal, Input, Word Completion, and turn off "Replace text as you type" it won't autocorrect anything. Don't know whether it's possible to just stop it doing the ' character though. Ian
Guest De-GeXte Posted July 9, 2005 Report Posted July 9, 2005 Thx from me too , have been looking for that option some time now. I normally type in dutch while the phone is in english. It has the habbit of inserting ' and 'll after words they are surely not supposed to be in dutch! :)
