Cheers any help much appreciated Vanderduke
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 No. No Windows Mobile OS, not a Smartphone. Of course any phone with email & internet gets called a smartphone, but don't be fooled ! :) Not recommended by this site
Guest Tunney Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 A smartphone is commonly defined as a mobile phone which can execute natively coded (i.e. not Java) third party applications. Generally this mean it will run one of the following operating systems: - Pocket PC - Windows Smartphone Edition - SymbianOS (Series 60/Series 80/Series 90/UIQ/FOMA) - Linux - PalmOS Sometimes Blackberrys get lumped into the smartphone category too. The NEC e616 is certainly not a smartphone.
