Guest despatch_uk Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 hi guys has anyone found a good tv remote programme for m2000?
Guest xda-rocks Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 There a a couple of remote programs that 'work' with M2000. The reason I say 'work' is that the IR on the M2000 is not strong enough to make the remote usable - you have to hold it no more that about 1 metre from the TV, which means you could just reach out to the TV and press the buttons anyway. http://vitotechnology.com/en/products/remote.html http://www.pdawin.com/tvremote.html http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=7052

Guest andrewleith1 Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 i used pdawin a couple of months back, i was pretty disapointed when i found out that i had hold my xda IIs 1cm from the tv's remote sensor. is there no way to boost the infared??
Guest justsomeoneelseagain Posted July 9, 2005 Report Posted July 9, 2005 hello all, er... maybe i'm missing the point here, but isn't the orange spv m2000 a mobile phone device ? if you wanted a tv remote control thingy why not use a er... tv remote control thingy ? next you'll be wanting mobile devices to contain a mini microwave eh ! ps. my arms are of normal length ! :)
Guest Driekus Posted July 9, 2005 Report Posted July 9, 2005 (edited) I'm with justsomeoneelseagain. Now it's a TV remote, next thing is people wanting their mobile phone device to be a sort of PDA phone or something... :) Edited July 9, 2005 by Driekus
Guest madhatter2k Posted July 10, 2005 Report Posted July 10, 2005 That's silly though. If you didn't want a phone that you could tinker with, why did you ever throw your Nokia 3310 away? If we didn't demand Microwave ovens in our watches, technology wouldn't advance! [/rant]

[/rant] <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ..maybe designers should concentrate on getting mobile phones to actually work as phones before trying to develope the handset into something else ? tunnels, the underground, in the countryside and other blackspots etc... how about having phones that work in these places before having such 'gimmicks' as cameras, mp3 players, game consoles eh ? surely that'd be more useful ?
