Painted C500

I have got a C500 dummy off eBay, due to the casing on my existing mobile getting a few dents/scratches on it.

I have painted it with car paint which I got from Halfords.

The fascia on the left of the pics is the original one. the other is one from a dummy, which I painted.

I need to do some more spraying to the front, after a light sanding. Then I will add some clearcoat to it, as the paint scratches off very easily.

I will be painting the side of the casing a metallic black, and the black parts on the back will be the metallic blue.

The front will still have the silver round the screen, because the the buttons will still have to be silver

Another trip to Halfords on Sunday for some plastic primer and some clearcoat.

Looks like you did a tidy job :)

If the paints chipping off easily dod you key (light sanding) the base before painting or prime it?

Also looks like it grew in size, but I suspect that is just the camera's perspective. :)

I have only done the front of it... It still needs some work doing to it, and a final coat of clear stuff.

I'd deffinately say its better than the original.

The reason that it looks different in size, is that there is only the fascia on theleft and the complete mobile on the right

Has anyone else painted theirs or know of someone who has?
