New Roms solve headphone 'Tsss' problem?

Hi Peeps. Can anyone tell me if the new roms (either the French 4.2.2.1 or the leaked 4.2.1.1) have any effect on the headphone 'Tsss' noise problem of the Orange C550 (details elsewhere on this forum).Thanks

I believe smarter people than me already proved the Tss-noise to be a hardware problem, which can not be solved by a software update (details elsewhere on this forum). So I guess the answer is no.

(I assumed you were actually referring to the C500, since the C550 is not out yet?)

I have just installed the new rom on my c500 - aquired it from an orange man. Nothing much to write home about - it has Media Player 10 but nothing else good has hit me yet.

Sorry, yes I did mean the C500. Although I am wondering if the C550 will have the same fault. This is really bugging me as I listen to music a lot on my phone- I may consider upgrading to the 550 if the problem has been resolved on it.
