Guest Flubster Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 I've had a quick look at the xml for the homescreen on my Orange c500. I've got a wicked backgroud I want to use, but the background colour is too light on this background meaning I can't see the operator name, time and date. Is there an easy way to change the XML for this colour attribute, I can copy the XML from the ROM into the system\home dir and it will load it from there, so I can change it, but i've tried changing the values to #DD00AA (Pink as a test) and it doesn't seem to affect anything. TIA Flubster
Guest Shaocaholica Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 I've got the same problem with my MPx220. I've tried changing items in the .xml but none of them take effect. I assume they are copied somewhere when first installed and the .xml file isn't read anymore. Can anyone help? I don't want to create a whole new .cab installer just to change the clock from 24 to 12 hour.
Guest Griff_FFOC Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 If you find the Orange XML file, you could try to copy it onto your PC, edit the file, rename it, and re-uload it into your homescreens folder
Guest Flubster Posted July 3, 2005 Report Posted July 3, 2005 I've found the xml thats no problem, and copying into the storage/home folder will let me use it, the problem is I would like to know the RGB field I change to change the colour of the operator name. Everything I try and change keeps it gray, which makes my homescreen look sketchy :) Flubster
