C500 connects to gprs every now and again

my phone seems to connect to gprs at regular intervals and do something, i dont know what i checked i hadnt set up emails to check every now and again but cant find the setting again.

Help cos this is costing my £100 a month and cant find it, can i just turn off net access?

Things to check include. newsbreak and celltrack. do you have them installed?

nah, all i have installed is, smart explorer and Legacy + expansions

still no idea what it could be, what is the sure fire way of making sure that the IMap messageing isnt checking for emails cos i did set it up once but set it to never check on its own

You could also try changing the MMS settings to Send/Receive manually instead of automatically. If it's an MMS message it's constantly trying to download then you should get a text message instead.

you could try messing up your GPRS settings so it can't connect???

Failing that phone Orange and ask them to bar GPRS on your handset. Or do you need to use it sometimes??

figured it out after looking through the connection setting i spotted a VPN connection connecting every 5 mins...silly me.
