Registry editing problem

Hi,

I want to change a value in the registry using PHM registry editor in my SPV e200.

However in some files i got the folloowing error: "Unable to perform this operation"

My phone is application unlocked. I also tried smartione, but it didn't show the contents of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder, it shows just the folder.

The registry entry i am trying to change is :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e0010409

There are many toher such entries.

Additionally, Is there a way to love this problem by using registry exports and after modifying them reimporting to the phone?

If you plan to modify a system registry entry such as:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Init

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\WDMDrivers

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services

HKEY CLASSES_ROOT (device specific)

...you need priviledged execution mode using either cab provisioning or cab files signed with a priviledged certificate (digitally signed).
