Guest andreas_c4 Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 my start menu on my mpx220 has disappared, after a restart. what can i do? Master Reset? or what?
Guest Disco Stu Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 Welcome to the forum :) I would be inclined to hard reset. Do you have any clues as to what might have caused this ? Phone memory low ? Registry tweaking ? Moved to Help & Advice
Guest andreas_c4 Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 Phone memory low, i think, and after this i closed my phone and restarted it! in the users guide is saying : master reser must be made by an autorised motorola sevice! what could happen if I do the master reset? do I lose me warranty?
Guest tha_neo Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 no, you willl not lose your warranty=) just go on!
Guest Disco Stu Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 Many Smartphone owners regard a hard reset as an occasional 'spring cleaning' exercise - good for keeping your phone fit and healthy ! Your phone will be returned to the state it was in when you first took it out of the box so there is no possibiblity that it will invalidate your warranty.

Guest Disco Stu Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 Which programs do you mean ? Most of the original software is contained within the ROM. This will be restored by the hard reset. The rest wil be on the CD that came with the phone. I don't have an MPx220 so hope that someone else can clarify this.
