Guest nvkid909 Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 (edited) hello, does anyone know of the proper way to disconnect a phone from activesync (bluetooth pairing) WITHOUT loosing the comm settings after a PC restart? i don't know what's happened, but this week each time i go on there is a message saying "active sync cannot find the comm port..." even though the dongle plugged in & BT radio is working fine. in the activesync settings the comm 6 (or 7) ports have disappeared, instead there is comm 1. i have installed "disconnect activesync" app on the phone, it does exactly that, but my PC still has other ideas when i log on. NB: i can set it up fine, in fact i've been setting up new partnerships everytime 'cos of this. it's doing me head in! Edited July 2, 2005 by nvkid909
Guest nvkid909 Posted July 3, 2005 Report Posted July 3, 2005  ok cheers for your replies, i've sussed it now. i have to do two things: first i went to file > connection settings & UNCHECK allow serial cable or infrared connection to this com port (which was was 6 or 7) secondly, on the phone, i ran this prog "ruttensofts disconnect activesync" file > close does not work, it's still connected, merely closes the window :x
