This is driving me mad!

I thought I better give media player 10 a go and see how good it was, so I've setup up two albums on my PC. I have made sure they have got all the right tags etc my downloading the info using the media player "find album info" option, this also downloaded album art for each album.

When I play the albums on the PC It shows a small picture of the cover whilst playing each song (which is nice)

So I figured they should show on the Mobile as well - but they didn't. After searching around for a while I found an option on the PC which is under "tools -> options ->Player" which is called "Enable picture support for devices" I ticked this box and then clicked Sync, Media Player didn't appear to do anything.

I checked on the mobile and two songs on one album show a picture, but why do the other 20 songs on the phone not show anything :x

I just deleted all the songs off and put them all back on again using the sync and still only the two songs show the picture.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong???

Cheers :)

This is driving me crazy :)

I seem to have sorted the Album Art - Not sure how - just kept clearing the cache, deleting the music trying again, then it worked - I think it might have been changing to a different USB port which did it??

Anyway I have now added another two Albums (so 4 in total) I have set it so it must always convert the mp3's to 64kbps wma's. It does this for 3 albums but seems to refuse to do it for the 4th Album, I can't find any album specific settings

I'm going crazy

i had the same problem with my napster files. i had to go to tools, then process media information now. i know that somehow with wma's, the picture is stored in the file. with mp3's, it needs to have the file in the directory called albumart.jpg, when media player plays the file, it will look for that file and show that picture.

I think I've sorted it now. I had to use Winamp to remove the Newer tags from the MP3s. In Winamp it shows old ones on the left and a newer format of idtags on the right. Once the newer ones have been removed they work perfectly. Simple but annoying!!! :)

Now the annoying thing is that the album art is only displayed for a few seconds before the screen returns to the home screen, then the keypad auto locks. Is there any way to stop it returning to the homescreen - but only when Media Player is running - keeping the backlight on would be nice too. I don't want to make global changes as I like the auto keygaurd etc. I just want it to work like TomTom does!
