Guest Magnetic_dud Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Hi, I've a little problem. My carrier doesn't give for free an smtp client, it rents it for a monthly fee. They want 10 euros for month, gprs traffic not included! This is crazy! So, I can't send ANY email when I'm on the road. If i try to telnet the smtp with my smartphone, the smtp says: "sorry, your ip isn't allowed" If i telnet the smtp with my PC connection, the smtp works perfectly with ANY ip address. So, EVERYONE can access this smtp, except I, the only one that I need it... How can I set a proxy to access anyway? I mean: I connect through proxy the smtp, then the smtp reads the proxy's ip and allows me to send emails :) I've a j2me telnet applet, I can speak smtp :D, and i prefer send via telnet instead using pocket outlook. I prefer send manually because in this way I'll make less traffic and my gprs connection will be less expensive :D And the proxy must be port 25 compatible? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
