Guest Andiamo Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Please take 10 mins to do a web survey at: http://elsa.open.ac.uk/mobiledevices.survey As a Smartphone user, you will have worked out how you like to use your mobile device and which features help or hinder. Does the small screen cause you problems? Can you enter data quickly using the stylus? I am interested in what you like about your device, what you don't like as well as any tips or tricks that you've developed. The focus of my doctoral research is the ways in which PDAs and Smartphones can be used to support informal learning projects. I feel that the best way to find out how we can use mobile devices to support learning is to ask people who are already enthusiastic users, so I have asked for permission to post in this user forum. If you have any questions about this research, please post them in this thread and I’ll try to answer them. I shall close the survey on 2nd August. Thanks Andiamo
Guest Andiamo Posted July 10, 2005 Report Posted July 10, 2005 I just want to thank all those of you who've completed the survey (and remind anyone who hasn't that it will remain online until 2nd August - so you've still got time :) ) The response was better than I could have hoped for and it confirms my belief that existing mobile device users have a lot to offer the world of research into mobile learning. I plan to put together a summary of my most interesting findings and post it in this thread, although that may well take a little while as I first need to analyze all the data. Many thanks to all of you Andiamo http://elsa.open.ac.uk/mobiledevices.survey
