Guest simplyteenage Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 sorry not much to do with smartphones but i though id c who could help. my girlfriend has a mobile but has gone to greece on holiday 4 a few weeks. if i wamnt to send her a message, do i send it to +447576545----blah blah or do i need to put a greece code in front of it? please help!!! i really need to tell hersomething!!!
Guest Madeye Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 The country code for Greece is 30, so I'm guessing you'd send to +30757... and so on. I'm not sure if you would have to use different codes for any of the greek islands, but you can search for that in google. The answer is that she would have to use +44, you use the greek code!
Guest mavisdavis Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 nah you should just send the message as you have it in your phone. I've recieved texts from people who dont know I'm on holiday :)
Guest Disco Stu Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Wrong answer, surely ?! replying to MadEye If I am on holiday in Greece people ring me on my normal +44 number. Orange & their Greek partners sort out the technicalities. Of course if she's bought a Greek phone or SIM while she's over there she'll have a Greek phone number and you'll have to use that.
Guest Madeye Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 You know what Disco Stu, you're probably spot on! I, for some reason, assumed she had bought a greek sim card and didn't think of any other possibilty. Probably because thats what i do! :)
Guest Disco Stu Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 There's only one way to be sure. SimplyTeenage should post the full number and we can call the lass up to test out our different theories ! :)
Guest Confused Stu Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Disco, you're a dodgy old man who should know better than that!! :) Must go along with the "Stu" name because I am too.... :-$
Guest Disco Stu Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 I'm changing my name to 'Desperate Dan'
