C500 SD Card recognition

Hi There

I've just brought a 512MB MiniSD Sandisk Memory card for my SPV C500, but when I go to settings and then into about it reports the memory settings as follows

Availble storage

8.59Mb

Total Storage

27.98Mb

I had a 16MB storage card that a copied all the content over to my Pc and then back to the new 512 SD card,

Should I ignore the memory capacity report or is my card not being recognised to it propery, I appear to be aple to copy to and read from the card fine.

Hey there dude, and welcome to the forum. :)

The Settings menu only shows the PHONE's available storage, it ignores the memory card. To check the card out, go into Accessories and Task Manager. Now select Menu and System Info - hey presto!

Alternatively, go to www.binarys.com and download a decent Task Manager (and SmartExplorer). These are the ones that should have come with the phone! :D
