Prevent activesync changing date/time?

Hi,

is there an option in activesync 3.8 to prevent the datetime from being synced?

I have my phone synced at work but often have to change my pc's local dateime settings and dont want them to change on my phone too, which is what currently happens. Anyway to prevent this?

ps - also is there any way to stop the activesync window from appearing everytime the phone is synced? ie, just have the symbol in the notifications area, and not the pop up window?

yes, well at least in AS 4.0 there is, if you connect your device and go to >file>connection settings there's the option "open AS when my device connects" just de-select it.

Found it! - slightly different place in 3.8: options > rules at the bottom of page.
