I can send and receive texts and can surf the net, but I can't send and receive MMS's. It connects to GPRS, but it say's it's unable to download all the messages although it states it's sending and receiving as per the top of the screen.

I've tried all the options I've come across on this site, but none seem to work.

Can anyone help?

I've tried:

http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=200964

&

http://www.filesaveas.com/mms.html

&

http://www.cctvsafe.com/support/phone_settings.htm

Please help me!

edited as I put the same link in twice, oh, and I can't spell!

Not yet. Did think about it, but then thought they don't support Smartphones.

I guess they can give me the relevant settings though?

Do yu have the settings they gave you?

The exact message I am getting is:

alert

Not all messages could be sent or received. To try again, select Menu, and then select Send/Receive.

My settings are as follows:

MMSC address:

wap.vodafone.co.uk

Data Connection:

MMS Network

Gateway:

WAP 1.0 Gateway

IP Address:

212.183.137.012

Port:

8799

This is all I need to get working now. I've tried changing the data connection and the gateway, but it doesn't help.

At the top, I get the G and sending/receiving like it's doing something, but then I get that message quoted at the top.

Anyone know why?

:)

Have you tried using the the Secure WAP connection instead.

GPRS connection:

Description: GPRS MMS

Connects to: Secure WAP network

Access point: wap.vodafone.co.uk

Username: wap

Password: wap

Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0

Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0

I.P address: blank

In Data connections make 'Secure WAP Network: GPRS MMS'

Start-Messaging-Media Messages

Menu-Options-Account Setup-Media Messages

Menu- Edit connections - Menu- Add

Menu>Edit connections

Menu-Add

Description: GPRS MMS

MMSC Address: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms

Data Connection: Secure WAP Network

Gateway: WAP 1.0 Gateway

I.P Address: 212.183.137.012

Port: 9201

You can also try the WAP 2.0 gateway by changing the above settings.

Gateway: WAP 2.0 Gateway

Port : 8799

Good luck :)

Exact same message:

alert

This is getting frustrating now!

Ok, I'm getting nearer! I'm receiving MMS messages, but I still can't send.

When I send, I get the red cross System Aministrator message and on trying to open, the screen goes grey and returns me to the homescreen!?

Any ideas?

I'm half way there though :|

Ah ha, sussed it.

It appeared I had Voda MMS selected rather than GPRS MMS. It all works a treat now!

One happy bunny here!

Until the next problem then... :)

I had to change the internet connection to 'Vodafone GPRS' in the settings, data connections settings.

Hopefully that'll work for you to.
