Smartphone 2 joystick problem....

Theres something wrong with my Smartphone2's joystick... Up and left joystick direction does not respond or instead thinks its "move right" but the Down and right joystick direction runs fine... Is this a hardware or software problem? I only owned if for like almost 2 months and is it possible for the joystick to be damaged by constant pressing(i.e. games that uses joystick movement like shooters) ? Thanks in advance!

UPDATE:

Ok the joystick worked somehow.. but in the next day the problem returned... do I have to send this to SMART for the phone to be repaired? Due to my previous experience they havent returned my old Smartphone(the first one) for years... :|

You can have it cleaned yourself using a contact cleaner (electra).

When I had a problem with my SAP1's joystick, I opened the unit and sprayed the joystick box/assembly with WD40. Hehehe.

I believe you can also do that with SAP2 though the best option is to have Brightpoint do it for you.

On another note, why would BP not return your unit?

I see... so a cellphone repair store like Brightpoint can fix my joystick? I'll see if they can do so... I never tried opening my SAP2 before heheh...

I dont know why... it was under repair and stuff maybe they totally forgot about it?

Why will they forget about a unit brought to them for repair? Unless you gave it to them already. Hehehe.
