Copying files to smartphone bug!

Hello. I want to copy a 50mb file to my phone. Copy, paste.

It gets about 50-70% done, then the transfer box on my PC vanishes. ActiveSync says disconnected, and my phone goes very very sluggish and I have to shut it down and restart it.

Small files, no problem, but it won't copy large files.

Is this a known bug? I tried downloading the file from the internet using IE but it won't save it to the storage card, which is also a pain.

I can't find a download manager for smartphone (might have to write a file downloader in .net later).

Anyone know a way to fix this or a workaround, without having to go buy a card reader?

All help appreciated.

I see this problem quite a lot on my c500 - I think it's the phone's power management kicking in when there are no keys being pressed which cuts the active sync connection. The only way I can get large / lots of files to copy successfully is to press a button on the phone every minute or so, which brings it out of "standby" mode or whatever it goes into to save battery.

My C500 does not do that ,i copied files ~ 200MB and pressed no button ,the transfer went smooth .What i can advice is to get the latest version of Active Sync if u do not have it already ,or a little desperate solution archive the file to several archives (.zip) and unzip them on the phone (not sure if it works but u may give it a try).
