voicemail reminder

Hi - on my previous phones, most recently a Kyocera 7135 (Palm) device, when I missed a call, or when voicemail was left, there would be a period "beep" to get my attention. However with my new SMT 5600 (Windows Mobile 2003 SmartPhone), there is no such reminder, so if I miss the call/vm and don't happen to look at the phone, I don't realize there's a message waiting. I haven't found an option to turn on such a reminder. Is there a way to do it?
