Guest mookie_gr Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 hello, as the topic says, can i connect to the net with internet explorer from my s100 with my dsl connection with a usb cable?
Guest Exodia Posted July 9, 2005 Report Posted July 9, 2005 (edited) Im pretty sure all you gotta do is plug it in and go, you dont have to set up anything... at least i didnt have to. I dont know if the connection will be dsl speed though, mine doesnt seem to be. Edited July 9, 2005 by Exodia
Guest MitchellO Posted July 9, 2005 Report Posted July 9, 2005 Yeah, using Activesync 3.8, I didn't have to change anything. Just plug it in, set the PDA as either guest or setup a partnership and your surfing!! Its not xDSL speed though, unless your on 512K or less. IT definately doesn't get the 3Mbit Cable speeds I have :)
Guest Dade Posted July 9, 2005 Report Posted July 9, 2005 hello, as the topic says, can i connect to the net with internet explorer from my s100 with my dsl connection with a usb cable? You dont mention it in your post but you do realise that you will have to use active sync and connect the phone to the PC before you can use the internet connection pass through - you cant just connect your phone direct to your dsl router. Pass through is under active sync options on the PC. If you look under rules you'll see where the pass through goes. Makes sure its set to internet.
Guest MitchellO Posted July 9, 2005 Report Posted July 9, 2005 Yeah, it has to either be throught activesync or using a WiFi SD card with a wireless router. You can connect directly.
Guest En_croute Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 Remember if you are in a corporate environment, pass-through may be blocked.
Guest bleugh Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 Remember if you are in a corporate environment, pass-through may be blocked. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> just installing activesync 3.8 and making it as my work connection worked well for me!
