Speed Dial

Sry guys this is an easy question - i tried looking in the manual and searching the archives in this forum.

How do you set speed dial?

When you are in your contacts, start editting one of them.

Click the right button for 'menu' and there is an option for add speed dial.

I don't know what to tell you then. Because I have an mpx220 right here in my hand and that is how the speed dials are set. Unless yours is an older version and the rom is outdated, because i don't know what was updated with each new firmware release. Mine started as 1.30 and was upgraded to 1.43 so if yours matches I don't see why they method would not be the same.

I'll try and explain it again just in case.

The thing is this ... you can only set speed dial to an existing name, NOT when you create a new contact. So, let's say I added Jo Bob to my contacts and I want to set speed dial for him. On the home screen, I hit my right soft key that says "Contacts" to go into my contacts list. I select Joe Bob. On the next screen it shows his name and number. Now the right soft key says "Menu." If you hit that, then the first option shoud say "Add speed dial." The rest, I hope is self explanatory. The manuals are terrible but you have to basically poke around these things to figure most things out with them.

If not, then check the version, or check the model number to make sure it's an mpx220 smartphone (just kidding).In all honesty, I have the mpx220 and the 5600 and the method is identical on both.
