A couple of questions about the 5600

Ok I have two questions that I am hoping someone can help me with.

1) On the 5600 there is a signal indicator light in the upper left hand corner that flashes every two seconds or so. Is there any way to turn that off? I have looked and looked and am stumped!!

2) When I set a customized rightone for a contact, the rightone continues to play even after I hit 'done' and go back to the main screen. Once that song starts playing is there anyway of getting it to stop? I used to have the mpx220 and I knew it did this when you set the general ringtone, but it never did this when you set unique ringtones for contacts.
