I'm consdering the Samsung i730, mainly for the Verizon broadband. Can I use this phone the way I would one of VZW's wireless PCMCIA cards to get my PC online?

I received confirmation from a Verizon rep. that you can indeed use this phone as a modem. They don't, at this time, supply an interface cable.

The windows modem driver is available on the Samsung website: http://www.samsung.com/download/Model_Sele...730&filetype=UM

I'll hopefully have this phone in the next couple of days and can tell you for sure.

The i730 forum at pdaPhoneHome is very active, and contains a lot of info about the i730. There is a thread specifically about how to get the i730 to work at a dialup modem in the FAQ.
