Problems upggading rom on mpx 220

I am having problems upgrading my rom on mpx 220. I have the roms both 1.43 and 3.45. I also have the offline motorola update tool. I follow the steps and it goes to step 3 detecting mobile communication, pauses for aprox. 1 min. then gives an error that says upgrade failed please remove usb. It does this with both roms. I have tried un/re installing the moto tool. also tried with battery in, off, phone on, phone off, cable not connected and cable connected to start. still same error msg.

Can someone pls help me??

try another usb port on your computer. i had the same problem and had to switch to another usb port so the smartphone on the usb port can be detected. you can also try following instructions on omega's webpage:

Try re-installing the USB driver in your computer. Plug in your phone while it's OFF and windows SHOULD detect it as wireless modem and install it properly. If it doesn't do that, then that's your problem.
