Guest sebset Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Somebody is interested to develope this software for the SPV? Just an idea... http://my-symbian.info/7650/applications/a...q=2&fldAuto=200 Main features of the "Answering Machine" are: - Answering incoming calls after the predefined time - Playing one of the prerecorded responses to the phone line - Recording a voice message - Pick up and Hang up are possible at any time while AM is answering the call - All voice messages are stored locally and are available at any time - A special view allows you to manage recorded voice messages - Caller phone number along with the date and time of the call are stor ...It's just an idea :-)...
Guest spacemonkey Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Now that is a cool application... you could attach specific answering phone messages for each of your friends while still having a nice formal one for work... Of course no one ever rings me....
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 As long as you can attach specific messages to contacts. Otherwise the Orange one will do me ;)
Guest crimminsky Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 Poor old Spacemonkey......put your number on here, then you'll have no end of calls ;)
Guest sykix Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 An extension to the idea: Have a series of short prerecorded messages (in a famous, or freak voice) which you can select while listening to the caller speaking on speakerphone and of course you ripping the absolute piss out of them.
Guest madu Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Good shout. I was thinking of something like this - my Sony Z5 had answerphone feature built-in and it was OK but lacked some functionality (like turn it on during an incoming call if you don't feel like speaking to that person, so I rarely used it. Would do on SPV though if someone makes one - guess it would need priveledged access, right?
Guest Xpressive Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 There are two things that I REALLY, REALLY miss on my SPV: 1.) Free speaking (redirecting caller's voice through the speaker) 2.) Built-in answering machine. Does anyone know if this would be possible to do via software only?
Guest pisquee Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 You could also have feature of screening the calls coming thru the answerphone - i.e. out going message and their message goes thru the speakerphone, and you can then decide whether to take the call, and interupt the answerphone app, depending on what they are saying.
Guest adam Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 1.) Free speaking (redirecting caller's voice through the speaker) Do you mean the speakerphone? If so hold the green phone key for a couple of seconds once in a call.
Guest Xpressive Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 Do you mean the speakerphone? If so hold the green phone key for a couple of seconds once in a call. That works :) Grrrreat! I didn't know that -one more reason to love my 'Smartie'.
Guest casperr Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 So has this software been developed yet? I enjoyed similar software on my 7650, wish there is one for SAP too
Guest chucky.egg Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 There's a post on here somewhere about "Ella Voice", try a search, I can't remember the details. It's work in progress, but no launch date last time I looked.
Guest Brody Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 Yeah, it was a news post by myself and can be found here :)
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 3, 2003 Report Posted October 3, 2003 There's a post on here somewhere about "Ella Voice". Apparently that DOES NOT include this answerphone feature. Anybody gonna step up and create it? Looks like theres some interest from potential buyers!
