Application unlocking a QTek 8080

I must apologise, because I know you get these sort of posts a lot, but i'm lost for other solutions! This phone worked fine out of the box, it ran any application i put on there no problems. then I had to reset it, because it stopped responding - i did this by removing the battery and then putting it back in. It seemed, that this reset the phone altogether, as in - i had no contacts, etc, but anyway - that wasnt the problem. since this reset, it was application locked! i've tried the link on the orange website, which tells me that my IMEI number isn't registered, and i've also tried emailing the [email protected] guy, who sent me a program to run, but that also said that my IMEI number wasn't as expected.

what would my next step be? there must be another way to do this!
