Sending Attachements with Automatic new message

I sent my SMT5600 into Audiovox a few months ago because it locked up and wouldn't load Windows Mobile. I have just now noticed that I can no longer send attachments automatically in new messages. Before my phone crashed, I was able to select a picture, choose Send via MMS or Email. When I chose MMS, a new MMS message would be created with the picture already selected as the attachement. If I chose Send via Email, I would see the list of mail accounts. Once I selected an account to send through, a new message was created with the picture as an attachments.

This action no longer happens for me. I have to create the MMS message or email and then attach the picture. Does anyone know how to change this back? My roomate has the same phone and his still works correctly.
