Guest emyllis Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 I have a PAYG C500 bought from ebay, with a orange phone number which i've had for 6 years. How can I buy a new C550 on a contract but keep my own PAYG number? It appears that the problems are that if I was moving to say 02, then I could transfer the number but it's not possible if I transfer from Orange PAYG to contract. Can anyone please enlighten me? Thanks
Guest chucky.egg Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 You should be able to convert your Orange PAYG "subscription" into a pay monthly contract with Orange, and at that time you're signing a contract so you can choose a new handset No need to port it to another network and then back again
Guest spacerace Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 correct, you can sign up to a new monthly contract (with free phone etc. subject to which tariff you choose) and then port your PAYG go number in and onto your new monthly contract account.

Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is possible to transfer your pay as you go number to contract. SPV C550 is free on contract too.
