Recording NASA tv

I've been ask by a friend if it's possible to record the launch Space Shuttle Discovery on STS-114 - KSC for his son.

The event can be viewed by mediaplayer but is it possible to actually record it?

I'll use that for recording the archived webcast of my graduation ceremony. It would seem my mum has no idea how to use the flash on my digital camera so i've got v blurred photos from the ceremony.....great(!)

ps: bummer about the shuttle :) bout time they built the replacement they've had in the pipeline for ages.
