What do I do guys? This is a real dilema

Firstly can I say hi as I have not posted here before, but have been a long time lurker 8)

I have been an orange customer now for about 10 years and have had a smartphone since they were 1st released. I have also had nearly every type of PDA that has come out over the years but till this day I haven't found one device that really does everything I want it to do.

That was until Orange revealed that they were releasing the Jam as the m500, and I thought this would sort everything out.

Now after reading all the posts about the availability (or lack of) of the m500 I am left with a difficult dilema, along with quite a few others from what I have read here recently.

Do I wait for the m500 supply problems to sort themselves out, or do I give up and go to T-mobile for an almost identical product?

Until erlier on today I was dead set on going for the MDA Compact on T mobile, but I realised one thing that stops me dead in my tracks.

I use line 2 with Orange for incoming business calls and as far as i'm aware you can only have one number with T mobile.

Does anyone know how I can get arround this situation? At the moment I have 3 contracts with Orange (line 1, Line 2, and another standard plan) that are all out of there contract dates.

I would quite happily loose the numbers and start up a new contract if I could get the m500 for free on a new contract, or happily go to T mobile if they could provide line 2 fiunctionality.

Any ideas guiys?

Do you mean that the m500 might not support Line 2? I'd be amazed if it didn't as it is aimed at business users and they are normally the ones who use Line 2.

Anyone know for sure if the m500 does support line 2?

It seems like the looks are just according to preference (I prefer the M500). You may find that available tariffs, reception etc are the best things to look at before making your decision!

I was waiting like yourself for the M500 to come out but Orange constantly said they didnt know what i was on about so i decided to go for the MDA Compact, its a really good machine. I am a bit gutted orange have finally released it after all the time they were saying they werent going to do it. Its their loss in the end I think, T-Mobile are good and their Customer service is good, when you dont want a quick query, just email them and you get a decent answer from them. the only problem with t mobile is that they do not have any software upgrades as yet.

The M500 like the M2000 does NOT support line 2.

you will be able to receive calls on the line 2 but not make outgoing calls. This can only be done on line 1.

Pants i know....

Hi,

I have the Compact on a T-Mobile 100 min free contract. I initially had a 3mb for £5 add-on which as of July has been upped to 6mb for £5.

Regards
