Loss of Modem settings

This is not the first time this has happened. :)

When I have been in the vicinity of a wifi hotspot (unencrypted free access) and have used it, all the settings for GPRS connection to Orange Wap or Orange internet have been cleared. This has also happened after being connected to the office network and these settings were added manually.

Fortunately I keep a note of the settings but it is annoying.

This happened with the original shipped Rom when I got the device in November 2004 and now with the “unofficial update” on the orange web site

Has this happened to anyone else and is there a fix?
