Guest rikwebb Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 Does anyone know what the reg keys are for the bluetooth profile assigned to a device? I used to have a e200 and a c500 running on my CK3300 car kit at the same time. Both could answer calls. I have now been given an upgeade from work to a c500. This means that I have two c500's, and both will mot work at the same time. I have narrowed this dpwn to BT profile. E200 used to use Headset, and c500 handsfree - now both are set to handsfree. Thought - if I can change one to be headset rathe than handsfree, it should all work again. Any ideas?? Rik

Guest rikwebb Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 Alright I will answer my own question :) Had half an hour to play, so here is the answer if anyone wants to know: DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING !!!!! Connect your device as usual, it will get the Handsfree profile. Now, Edit the registry key: HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Bluetooth\Device\ Find your device mac address eg 007761569ee3 \Services\ Delete the entry 000011e-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb This is the Handsfree service code Now goto: HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\Devices now there will be 1, 2, ...... Under one of these there will be an Address value that matches your device mac address (but backwards!!) Change the first two digits of the value under the Service value from 1E to 08 (you are changing it from pointing to the Handsfree service to the Headset service) Your device will now connect via the Headset profile Hope this helps someone as well as me Rik
