I am able to sync with the data cable fine and i have successfully paired my phone via bluetooth and my computer recognizes it. When i try to bluetooth sync the phone screen says connecting, and then shortly after my computer will shut down and turn off, it wont restart, it actually just turns off and i have to manually turn it back on. No error messages show up prior to shut down. I connect to bluetooth through a bluetooth hub that connects my bluetooth mouse and keyboard. It is a logitech cordless MX bluetooth combo. Is this an issue with my phone or my bluetooth software on my computer? I have been able to connect other bluetooth things to my computer such as a dell axim and bluetooth synced it fine.

Have never come across this problem before with any bluetooth enabled smartphone. Try an uninstall/re-install of activesync. Are you using SP2 bluetooth drivers or others (widcomm etc.)? There may be some sort of confict somewhere along the line. If you arent using SP2 bluetooth try installing that and see if it helps. I'm almost certain its not a problem with your phone though....unless...you arent using any kind of blutooth media remote software are you? Some of those apps have the ability to shut down your PC.

i have tried uninstalling active sync several times. I am using widcomm bluetooth driver, does that have anything to do with it? That is what my bluetooth hub installed as its driver. will another driver work and where can i get one?
