Guest reubmeisterishly Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 Hi there. I have an Orange SPV e100. Working perfectly. However, does anyone know how I can reassign either the buttons on the side of the phone so that when I press them I jump straight to "write new sms"... at the moment I have to press so many buttons just to write a new message... THEN I have to type it out as well. Any ideas? REub
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 Welcome to MoDaCo Forum 8) You can do that using a script. I call this 'Compose New SMS Script' for SP2002 INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Install AutoSmartphone program for SP2002 BASE.INSTALLER.zip Read included TXT file for instructions. Use the 2002 version for your phone. 2. Install this CAB file Compose.New.SMS.02.cab 3. Restart device. TO USE: 1. Open Start Menu then look for this icon: Click on the icon then wait for the script to execute. You can then assign a speed dial key to the shortcut for easy access. 2. At the end of script execution, you should be at this window: Type your message then to insert a contact at the recipient's box, just hit Menu > Insert Contact. No need to scroll up the box. I hope that helps. Thanks to maxh2003 for the scripting tool. :)
Guest alphatech Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 How do you revert it back to "contact" instead of "compose" button ?
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Hi. Which CAB file are you referring to? 'Compose.New.SMS.02.cab' for SP2002 will not change any Contacts-related settings. It is just a script without registry modifications. The one with softkey modification is from another topic. If I remember right, from here: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=...Compose+New+SMS
