Guest katiea Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 When you switch the "off" button it is still on, still linked to the phone network (unless you've gone into airplane mode too), still using up the battery, not charging as fast as it could if you are charging it, and still trying to do ActiveSync, which is pretty irritating when it keeps making the "I've linked up" noise and you are sitting in the room. Or if you were a guest trying to sleep in the spare room/study... is it actually possible to switch the thing off???!
Guest GothTeddy Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 slide the back off, then back on. it will stay off until you hit the power button.

Guest GothTeddy Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 erm, you wouldn't actually be removing the battery :) should be able to sit like that for weeks.
Guest katiea Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 I did just switch the batteries over to charge the second one, but I have a feeling it wasn't charging before I switched the device on - of course, there's no way to tell if the second battery has been charged up without switching on!
