I just bought a Audiovox SMT5600. It's pretty nice, but i'm trying to create ringtones for it using mp3's off my computer. What i'm doing is importing the ringtone into Adobe Premiere, cropping the sound to whatever i want the ringtone to be out of the song i'm using (so its not so large) then exporting it as a windows media file. Then I copy it to my phone into the My Documents/My Music or My Documents/Sounds folder. Either folder doesnt seem to work. I can play the file i created from Adobe in Windows Media Player on my phone, but I can't select it as a ring tone. I saw something about size of the file somewhere on this forum. The file i made was like 40k. Does it HAVE to be an mp3? is my file too large? What am i doing wrong... I can't seem to figure out how to copy my music to the phone and use it as a ring tone :) Someone PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks,

Jay

Welcome to the forum :)

The files need to go into \Application Data \Sounds in the phone memory rather than in \My Documents.
