Guest trendmonster Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 Is it possible to use an mp3 as a ringtone on a Motorola MPX200? If so, which folder do I put it in? I'm using Smartphone 2003 BTW. Thanks in advance! (P.S. I used the search function and couldn't find what I was looking for, my apologies if this has been posted)
Guest squirly309 Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 Hi i have win2002, same problem . how can this phone NOT recognize mp3s as ringtones?!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 The MPX200 can not use mp3 as ringtones. The only difference between 2003 and 2002 regarding ringtones is that 2003 can use wma ringtones.

Can I just load one up from My Documents to use as a ringtone? I'm disappointed to hear that the mpx200 can't use mp3s as ringtones, even my v300 could. :?: Edited July 17, 2005 by trendmonster
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 The normal place to keep ringtones is Storage\Application Data\Sounds Or if you have the 2002 OS replace Storage with IPSM.
