Guest joakland Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 I currently own a mpx200 and am looking to switch to a pda phone. I really like the windows mobile os so i prefer sticking to it. I only know of the Siemens SX66 with built in wifi. It has pretty good reviews and i can get it from my local cingular store for 499 plus tax. Is this a pretty good deal? Also what other pda phones are comparable to the siemens? I am looking to spend 500 max.
Guest scottb Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 I can't compare to the Siemens because I've never used one, but the Samsung i730 has built-in WiFi. It's only available for Verizon Wireless. There are some issues with the WiFi implementation on it, but basically, it might not work properly with certain Today screen plugins. For example, I either have to remove the PocketBreeze plugin or remove the Wireless plugin to enable WiFi on mine. I can, however, leave the PPCProfiles plugin on the Today screen...strange... Check out the i730 forum on pdaphonehome.com for detailed information. Unless you have some type of discount you can take advantage of, it will probably be closer to $600.
