Help..Skins for media Player on SMT5600

This is bloody frustrating the heck out of me. I have tried to make a reg edit to create a skins directory with no luck.

Is there a full proof walk through on how do do this?

I'm at my wits end here......................... I have skins to share but untill I can view them I have no idea how good they will look.

Is there easy retard friendly walkthrough? ( the retard would be me.....comming from a Pocket PC background )

I can make the skins no sweat, I just can't seem to get my SMT5600 ( C500 ), to display them.

Here's how I got mine to work:

Made new folder, \Storage\Program Files\Windows Media player, because it didn't exist yet.

Then I installed this skin set attached, but had to vhange the first line from v8.1 to v8.5 in the .skn file (open with notepad or wordpad).
