Text Messaging screen

When composing a text message, my SPV c500 used to display 2 useful icons/pictures.

One was the T9-style, eg t9/T9/123/abc/ABC etc

The other was a count of how many characters i had used / had left for the message.

For some reason, they aren't showing up any more.

I haven't played about with the phone's config or registry too much, so whatever i did to hide them must've been quite simple.

I can't figure out how to get them back.

Can anyone help?
