Guest Wastedyuthe Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 At the moment I own a C500, and am very pleased with it except for the 'Tsss' noise of course on music and videos. But I have also noticed how much 'beefier' the music sounds coming from an old portable cd player for example, compared to on my C500. What I would like to know is, does the C550 have better quality than the C500 or does anyone know wether it at least comes close to the quality of a dedicated cd/mp3 player? So far there have been a couple of reports the 'Tsss' noise is no more with the C550. Can anyone else confirm this also? Thanks.
Guest Lemac Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 Yup no tsss on mine :-) and better headphones
Guest the_ape Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 Spend 20 quid on some decent headphones (sennhieser are great), and it's sounds awsum!

I really want to be sure it's worth me shelling out money for if I want to change my phone this year (already upgraded in Feb to the C500)

I guess that music quility perception is such a personal thing that this would be the only real way of judging the C550. all the best, mw

If it at least comes close to the quality then I would be happy- especially if the 'Tsss' noise problem has been resolved, that would be a great bonus. I should take in my mini sd card with the music I notice the problem on the most.

So I think I'll try to get a new one at Orange store.
