Guest trendmonster Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 What would the best media player be for an MPX200? I am looking to play some video clips as smooth as possible. Thanks!
Guest trendmonster Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Sorry for the bump, but I really need a good media player for this phone.
Guest martin Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Try 'The Core Pocket Media Player' :) http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/
Guest trendmonster Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Try 'The Core Pocket Media Player' :) http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've tried that but it seems a little choppy.
Guest SinisterJunkie Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 If your video is choppy, it is most likely not TCPMP, but the encoding of the file itself. I have quite a few movies that I have watched with the TCPMP without any issues.
Guest argh Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 Yes, are you sure that you're not trying to play a high resolution video? (e.g. 640x480). The phone should play back smaller videos (preferably 176x220) with no problem. I have played back slightly larger sizes at full speed, but 640x480 is slow (at least with DivX videos).

Guest martin Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 The video was 320x240. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>You need to convert video to a maximum of 220x176 to get the best results.

Thanks in advance. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There are a few applications but PocketDivXEncoder is probably the easiest to begin with. http://divx.ppccool.com/ Also have a look in the Articles section :) http://www.modaco.com/Smartphone_Articles-f18.html
