Guest Bingo Accent Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 I successfully downloaded the Windows upgrade to my C500 yesterday, and thought I'd try my hand at getting a movie onto the phone, using Windows Media Player 10. Using this article as my guide, http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/articles/movies.mspx I managed to download a film (eventually, in 6 parts) and load them onto my WMP library. According to the article, when I tried to synch to the phone, WMP should have "converted and compressed them (the MPG files) to much smaller files". However, when I tried to synch, all I got was an 'unable to convert to supported format' (or something like that) message. Any idea what I should be doing??? PS I've got a 512Mb mini-SD card in the phone
Guest TheBadger Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 I find the best way to get movies onto the c500 is to encode the video using PocketDivXEncoder, then simply drag them accross using ActivSync. To play files encoded with PocketDivXEncoder you'll need to get betaplayer, which you can download of loads of places.
