Is there a way to decrease the screen contrast on mpx220? I think its too bright ( :) ) compared to the old mpx200 :roll:

I think you can only change the contrast of the external LCD. Never seen anything that lets you change the main screen's contrast.

than no way or maybe a registry hack?

There is a registry hack for the C500 along gamma settings.

Gamma settings can cause colors to look too dark or too light, losing detail to the viewer. I noticed that adjusting the phone's gamma value to lower value gives darker fonts especially on pop-up menus. The default value for the C500 is '1500'. Setting a higher value (for instance 5000) results to 'lighter' fonts on a 'faded' background.

Target registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\Gamma

Mine is set to 10

Thanks for the post, i tried it but unfortunetly it said "Unable to perform operation"

maybe i should ask the technical service for this?

I forgot to tell you that Gamma is located on a protected registry area. The easiest way to change the value is through cab provisioning.

Attached is a CAB file which sets Gamma value to 10. Try it at your own risk. Thank you.
