xphone2 charging problems

if i charge my xphone2 with the wall charger, no problem, but if i use the usb hotsync cable, it charges for 1 minute then the charging light goes green and the battery says it is full. of course it isnt. sometimes it will charge with the cable but if less than half full wont work. if i charge for a while with wall charger, then can use usb cable charger. any ideas?

also, how come I cant use my motorola mpx200 wall charger to charge my xphone2 but can use my xphone2 chrger to charge my mpx200?
