Guest Goodfella1978 Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 Does anyone know how to disable the certificate security on the C550? I've tried going to http://developer.orangews.com/orgspv/SPV.aspx?U=T like with the C500 but it comes up with an error saying "Sorry but we are unable to find the IMEI number that you have entered on our database." It offers some solutions but they don't work and was wondering if there's a different link, as that page says it is used for unlocking the SPV / SPV E100 / SPV E200 / MPx200 (even though it worked for the C500 too!) Cheers for reading this peeps!
Guest mupwangle Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 Your best bet is emailing them at [email protected]. If there is an update then these guys seen to have it well in advance.
Guest mavisdavis Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 Ive emailed them . i cant seem to app unlock either tonight. i'll try again the morning :)
Guest the_ape Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 (edited) Do what I did, Launch IE, surf to the Orange homepage, stop IE. Goto the decert site, give it a couple of minutes and try again, job done, it says it does not know the IMEI because you have not been registered with dhcp for an IP address to surf. Worked fine for me.... Or pop to http://www.modaco.com/INFO_Decert_SIM_Unlo...50-t222786.html Edited July 19, 2005 by the_ape
Guest NX5 Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 I dowloaded the action register file from the orange site and ran it the C550 unlocked then with no problems. Ape what software version is on your phone, Im wondering if there are two versions out there as you are not experiencing problems with your handset.
