Guest Marizu Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 I noticed that the MDA Compact seems to have the ability to switch between portrait and landscape without resetting. Is the Orange M500 able to do this (and does it come with the software to do so)? Cheers, M

Is the Orange M500 able to do this (and does it come with the software to do so)? It ought to as it's a part of Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition - the MDA Compact I have has a little icon in the bottom right to enable me to landscape the screen, but that *may* be a T-Mobile addin....not sure. Even if it is, you can landscape the screen in Start -> Settings -> System -> Screen and you can allocate a key (I have in the past set my note record key) to rotate the screen in Start -> Settings -> Buttons Bry.
Guest Disco Stu Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 It's the same on the i-Mate Jam so I assume it is standard with 2003SE

Guest doyle_am Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 This is exactly the same on the SPV M500. My only gripe is that you can't change the direction it rotates (that I've found)
Guest Pondrew Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 Really? Not even in Start / Settings / System / Screen? On the Blue Angel you can change it there choosing between Portrait / Landscape (right-handed) / Landscape (left-handed)
Guest Behold Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 using the quick button it just cycles normal, right hand, left, then normal
Guest psionandy Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 using the quick button it just cycles normal, right hand, left, then normal <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I use AE buttons and then map the screen rotate to a button control. That way the toggle is portrait-Landscape-portrait
