Hi. I just got an orange SPV C500 of ebay. I had a problem with windows detecting it and installing a driver for purpose of active sync.

I also had problems with bluetooth. After reading some advice on this forum I opted for a hard reset.

My phone is now stuck on the following screen and I need a step by step guide to getting a working phone. I am quite happy with it being locked to orange as I wish to use an orange sim card anyway.

The screen is stuck on this.:

Typhoon PV/DVT

IPL 1.00

SPL 1.01.0109

GSM 0.3.18.60

OS 1.1.0.511

OP 1.1.0.0

IU BUILD !

Test Only

Clean HIVE(1): N

Format Par.(2): N

I can do the thing where I connect the usb, hold the camera and it goes into 3 colours.

But WHAT and HOW do I get a working phone back.

Please help!!!

Try flashing the phone with the official Orange ROM from the Orange website.

Tried doing this but it does not work, there is no connection between the phone and the PC.

Put the phone into the three colour screen by holding down the camera button while powering on phone and then attach the phone to then USB cable and re-run the ROM update.
